As of October 2026, the AI and data-driven football prediction apps worth comparing are Goal Signal (Golsinyali), Forebet, FootyStats, Sofascore, FotMob, Flashscore and the Opta Analyst website. They differ most in three things: whether they publish their results openly, how many leagues they cover and what the free tier includes. The table below compares all seven on eight criteria.
Disclosure: This page is published by Golsinyali (Goal Signal). We placed our own app first — keep that in mind. Every entry, ours included, lists at least one strength and one weakness.
How we evaluated
- Period: 14–21 October 2026.
- What we checked: each product's public website, its App Store or Google Play listing and its published method notes. We did not run a long-term accuracy test of any app, so this page contains no accuracy figures for any of them.
- Criteria and weights: results published openly (30%), method transparency (20%), free tier (20%), league coverage (20%), languages (10%).
- Order: Goal Signal is listed first by editorial decision because it is our own product. Entries 2–7 are ordered by the criteria above.
- Excluded: betting operators, apps that push sign-up offers from operators, and tipster apps that promise "sure wins" or 90%+ hit rates without a public, graded history.

1. Goal Signal (Golsinyali) — AI predictions plus a public live-signal record
Goal Signal is the mobile app of golsinyali.com. It gives AI-based match predictions with confidence scores, live scores, kick-off and prediction-update alerts, form charts and head-to-head data for 150+ leagues, and it is free to download on Google Play and the App Store. Some predictions and features need an optional premium subscription.
What sets it apart is the live track record: every in-play over-goals signal since 29 March 2026 is saved automatically, settled from the final score and kept on the page, losing signals included. You can see how the method works on our AI football predictions page.
Strength: a public, undeletable record of its live signals, with wins and losses side by side. Weakness: the public record covers live signals only, not every pre-match prediction; the app is young and has far fewer store ratings than the big score apps. Best for: fans who want predictions, live scores and alerts in one app and want to check the record themselves. Not for: anyone looking for a betting tool or certainty — Goal Signal takes no bets, and no prediction is guaranteed.
2. Forebet — long-running statistical model, free
Forebet has published mathematical football predictions since 2009, and its app shows outcome and goal probabilities, standings, form, head-to-head records, live scores and short trend notes. According to its App Store listing, "Forebet is and has always been free".
Strength: a long public history and very wide league coverage at no cost. Weakness: the app carries advertising and, per its privacy label, uses data for third-party ads; the app has few store ratings compared with its web audience. Best for: readers who want quick probabilities for many leagues without paying.
3. FootyStats — the deepest statistics tables
FootyStats says it covers over 1,500 leagues and cups, from the top European divisions to small leagues, with xG, points per game, form, over/under, both-teams-to-score and clean-sheet tables, plus timing data on when teams score or concede.
Strength: unmatched depth of team statistics for smaller leagues. Weakness: the full data sits behind a paid Premium purchase, and the store listing is written with betting in mind. Best for: users who want to read the numbers themselves rather than receive a ready prediction.
4. Sofascore — live data and player ratings
Sofascore is a live-score app with xG, xGOT, shot maps, heatmaps and live player ratings for more than 150,000 players, and it is rated 4.9 from about 78,000 ratings on the App Store. Fans can make "Who Will Win" picks; win probabilities and AI insights sit in the paid Plus and Analyst plans.
Strength: the most polished live statistics and the largest user base in this list. Weakness: it is not a prediction model first, and the probability features are paid. Best for: following a match in detail while it is being played.
5. FotMob — clean design and xG for every match it covers
FotMob shows live scores, news, xG, shot maps and player ratings, and third-party listings put its coverage at more than 500 leagues. Its paid plan mainly removes ads.
Strength: fast, clean interface with xG on covered matches. Weakness: no built-in prediction model and no results record. Best for: fans who want a lightweight companion app next to a prediction source.
6. Flashscore — the widest live-score coverage
Flashscore's store listing claims 30+ sports and 6,000+ competitions, including more than 1,200 football competitions, with notifications for match events.
Strength: coverage and alert speed for almost any league in the world. Weakness: it offers scores and statistics, not predictions. Best for: checking results and line-ups in leagues few other apps cover.
7. Opta Analyst — transparent simulations, but no app
Opta Analyst (theanalyst.com) publishes match and season predictions from the "Opta supercomputer", which combines Opta Power Rankings with market prices and simulates the remaining fixtures thousands of times. After five matchdays of 2026-27 it gave Arsenal a 43.7% chance of the Premier League title (Opta Analyst, October 2026).
Strength: a clearly explained method from a leading data provider. Weakness: website only, focused on major competitions, with no graded log of individual match predictions. Best for: season and title-race probabilities for the top leagues.
Which app is best for which need?
The right app depends on whether you want a ready prediction, raw statistics or live tracking.
| Your need | First choice | Also worth a look | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Predictions with a public record | Goal Signal | Forebet | Results visible over time, not only claims |
| Free predictions for many leagues | Forebet | Goal Signal | No payment needed for core probabilities |
| Deep team statistics | FootyStats | FotMob | xG, form and goal-timing tables |
| Live match detail | Sofascore | FotMob | Live xG, ratings, heatmaps |
| Obscure leagues and fast alerts | Flashscore | Goal Signal | 1,200+ football competitions |
| Title-race probabilities | Opta Analyst | — | Season simulations with a published method |
How can you spot an unreliable prediction app?
An app is unreliable when it makes claims you cannot check. Watch for these signs:
- Promises of "100%", "sure win", "never lose" or "fixed matches" — no model can know a result in advance.
- A high hit rate with no public, dated history of wins and losses.
- Sign-up links or offers from betting operators inside the app.
- Paid "VIP" tips with no explanation of how they are made.

Frequently asked questions
Which app gives the most accurate football predictions?
No independent, long-term test compares the accuracy of these apps, so any single "most accurate" claim should be treated with caution. Prefer apps that show a dated history of wins and losses, such as Goal Signal's live track record, over apps that only quote a percentage.
Is there a free football prediction app?
Yes. Forebet says its app has always been free, and Goal Signal, Sofascore, FotMob and Flashscore all have free tiers. Paid plans usually add more predictions, deeper statistics or remove ads.
Can AI predict football matches?
AI models estimate probabilities from data such as form, expected goals and head-to-head results; they do not know the outcome. A well-built model can be useful over many matches, but any single match can still go the other way.
Are football prediction apps legal?
Prediction and statistics apps that take no bets are information services, not betting operators. Rules on gambling advertising differ by country, so check local law before using any betting service.
Which football prediction app is best for Android?
Goal Signal, Forebet, FootyStats, Sofascore, FotMob and Flashscore all have Android apps. Choose by need: predictions with a public record, free probabilities, statistics depth or live tracking — the table above maps each need to an app.
